Catching Up With Emma

Rob has been gone to India for 4 days now and will be back in 3 days so we're over the half way hump! We're all missing him a lot and trying to keep busy while he's away so we don't sit around wishing he was here too much. It's kinda working.

I have so many recent photos of the kids to post that I can't decide where to start so I thought maybe I'd just focus on a kid a day until I get caught up. So...I'll start with Emma. She's been teething lately and seems very uncomfortable. Her top two teeth are popping through and another one on the bottom is working it's way out, too. Poor thing! Before she looks completely different, I had to get my photos taken of her in her christening gown. This is the gown that my grandmother made and all the kids have worn it for their baptisms.

Emma loves the outside! We've been spending a lot of time outdoors and she's usually happy just hanging out in her backpack type stroller watching the big kids and bugs and whatever. She recently had her first experience on a swing and thought it was great. Of course, Dad was pushing and he's just the best park playmate ever so she's learning the important things in life already!

Photo Sessions

I'm having a fun week with my photography--2 sessions in the last couple of days.

The first was a maternity shoot for a woman I've known from Lake Country Moms for several years. We hadn't seen each other in quite a while and I just found out that she was expecting her second child a couple of weeks ago so I quickly signed her up as a model! She was great...very open minded and such a natural. I had a great time with her and am looking forward to working more with her photos.

Then today I did a follow-up to my first maternity shoot. Baby Megan is now 6 months old and I photographed her mom, Kelly, when she was 8 months pregnant and I was 9 months pregnant! Needless to say, this one was much easier on me. Megan is such a sweet baby. She's teething and had to miss her nap to smile for the camera but she was awesome and so precious! Thanks for sharing her, Kelly!

Typical Spring

We've been having a real mix of nice weather and rain/storms. We're all anxious for summer, of course, so we're trying to take advantage of any of the decent days that we get. The kids have already played in the sprinkler probably a dozen times and it's yet to get above 70 degrees. Not to mention, the water that comes out of that thing is FREEZING! Anyway, Corey had an early release day from school on Friday so we had a picnic at the park and everyone had a fun time!

Lilly only has one more week of school left for the year...hard to believe that she'll then be a Kindergartner and riding to school on the bus with Corey in just a few months! Clare is really disappointed that she can't go off to school. Sometimes I forget she's only 2 and apparently so does she!

Rob is off to India tomorrow! We're going to miss him but are very glad that he'll be back in time to meet us in the Dells the following weekend. We're all really looking forward to a nice vacation and going back to "our condo" where we should have a lake view again now that the hole has been refilled.... We're sending Rob off tonight in style by taking him for a nice curry to get him in the mood. Wish him luck!
