The Girls

I realized that I didn't post any kid pictures this past week...oops! Guess I was a bit preoccupied with the house projects. Anyway, I managed to catch the girls today and Corey promises to let me take his photo soon so I'll be sure to get that up asap! Poor Clare is finally get back into the sleep pattern since her trip but she's been sick since Tuesday. She's been a bit better today but clearly her stomach is still having issues!

I explained to Corey and Lilly today about Lent and Easter. I also discussing fasting with them and Lilly informed me later that she was going to give up TREATS! I reminded her that it was for 40 days and actually I'd never even suggested that they should give something up...she just decided that herself. So Corey, not to be outdone, said he would give up VIDEO GAMES! Yeah, right! Tough one given Rob got them a Wii Fit that we're planning to give to them tomorrow (since they're not allowed to play during mid-week). I think God will understand if he changes his mind. Anyway, I was very proud of them both for picking such important things! :-)

While Daddy & Clare are Away, Mommy will....

Paint and clean and organize and decorate and sort and...well, you get the idea. Clare's room was the big project. She has the biggest of the kids' bedrooms and ultimately it will be Emma's room too but it previously was pretty empty and ugly. I painted it a pale yellow hoping to brighten it up a bit...I hope she likes it! I also painted the upstairs Pepto Pink bathroom (yuck!). Although Lilly liked the pink, Corey and I agree that the sage green is a big improvement!

The last photo is one of Corey getting "stuck". He was playing with the strap on his costume and managed to get it in a knot around one of the bannisters. I thought it was hilarious but on this point, we didn't agree. :-)

Rob and Clare and homeward bound now...I should be cuddling my babes in just over an hour. Whoo Hoo!

Pearly Whites Already??!!

Emma surprised me yesterday by having her 1st two teeth pop through! The other kids didn't get teeth until much later! Time is really flying by! Speaking of flying...Clare and Rob are off to England early Tuesday morning. In our 10 years together, Rob has never been to England without me and there's only been 1 day since Clare was born that I haven't seen her so I sure am going to miss them...not to mention the curries. :-)

From Diapers to Doctor

When I was about 14, I started babysitting for little Kristin Terich. She was still in diapers and we spent lots of hours dancing and having her do my hair. I became very close to all of Kristin's family and eventually they became extended family. Now, over 20 years later, Kristin is married and about to become a doctor (!!). She married Nish in December of 2007 and I just finally finished a photo montage of their wedding day. They are a beautiful couple and the photos are gorgeous so I thought I'd share their video here.

Disney On Ice

We've had a nice warm-up this weekend...the temperatures actually hit the low 50's!! For Christmas, my Dad and Brenda (aka Papa & Nana) gave us tickets to go see the Disney On Ice show in Milwaukee which was yesterday. The kids dressed up and we had a lot of fun! This is a short 2 minute video of our day. Enjoy!

Sledding

We finally had a mild weekend (warm by WI winter standards....in the 30's!), so the kids got in some good outdoor play time. Our neighbors have a nice sledding run behind their house...it's quite high and steep...Corey had a great time with it!
